Ochsner Health is seeking a dynamic and accomplished nursing executive to serve as Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Nursing at Ochsner Medical Center, our flagship hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. This senior leadership role partners closely with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to drive nursing strategy, elevate patient care, and ensure operational excellence across a complex academic medical center.

Role Highlights:
  • Provide executive leadership for nursing practice, quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
  • Partner with the CNO on strategic vision, long‑term planning, and systemwide initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop nursing leaders while fostering an engaged, high‑performing workforce.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, and patient advocacy.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and interdisciplinary teams to advance organizational goals.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, or related field (BSN required).
  • Current RN license.
  • 5+ years of hospital‑based nursing experience.
  • 3+ years leading complex patient care and operational environments.
  • Master’s degree in Nursing preferred.
